Gran Arepa serves the Southwest Florida area as Gran Arepa Southwest, featuring stuffed corn arepas from a Colombian family recipe with roots dating back more than 30 years. Founded by Consuelo Leon, who brought the recipe from Colombia to Central Florida in 1992, the Sarasota-area truck fills arepas with queso blanco, seasoned meats, beans, and plantains alongside empanadas and chorizo.
